Cannabis & Meditation

Upon my own experience I decided to write about Cannabis use while meditating. I usually start with soft music and quiet as possible area where you won’t become distracted or interrupted by someone. I’d say a good 15-20 minutes is enough time but you can do it longer. The benefits are great for your health and well being its proven to help with immune system as well. So smoke some relaxing Cannabis and Light a candle place it eye view so when you close your eyes you can still see the light shining through your eyelids also lighting incense can help I recommend keeping it at least 10 feet away in a well ventilated area  I think this helps with the meditation process or its how I usually do it,  a dim or dark area is good but also outdoors in the sun is great if your outside use the sun as the light source to concentrate on instead of the candle light.

Sit in a comfortable position “Indian” style is good and relax your hands on your knees or how ever you feel comfortable and have good posture. You can either close your eyes or have them open but its best to close them so nothing distracts you, clear your mind first and then take slow small breathes gradually in and out you’ll start to become more relaxed have the music on low and soothing sounds you can also have a sound machine on, I like meditation music or if you have soundscapes on Music Choice channel that is a good type of music, some others I like are Hawaiian to meditate to or rain and nature sounds. Concentrate on your breathing for a few minutes you may want to open your eyes this is ok if you feel the need just remain relaxed and keep you mind free of worries  Cannabis allows this process to be easier. You may see funny light patterns Like squiggly lines and such while having your eyes closed this is normal.

You may say a comforting word such as Om— which is a sacred Mantra word repeat it when you feel the need. Keep breathing and focus on the light source this will help you clear you mind completely, breathing deep naturally and comfortably alternate with smaller breathes as you feel comfortable. When you become more relaxed and achieve a deeper level of awareness you may stop saying the Mantra word you will feel more serenity if its done correctly.

Some Mantra words and their meaning:

Om – The Primordial sound of the universe.

Sat – Truth

Chit – Pure Consciousness.

Ananda – Bliss

Parabrahma – The supreme creator.

Purushhothama – The energy which incarnates as a avatar to guide us.

The meaning of Mantra words is to over come bad and negative things Pain, desire, sadness, greed, ignorance, depression, illness etc.


While Cannabis relaxes you it is very helpful in meditation helping you reach that Zen moment and finding peace within. You can also visualize something that you like the beach, a hike through a rain Forrest, or a tranquil flower garden, etc. You may also concentrate on relaxing specific parts of the body starting with the legs and arms feeling your body completely relax into a tranquil state the Cannabis will also allow this to happen quicker.

  • Benefits the endocrine system
  • Relaxes Nervous system
  • Increases serotonin levels
  • Sense of Oneness with self
  • And much more
